“Sebastian?” Mink asked carefully as he flew into the kitchen where I was getting a drink out of the fridge.
“What?” I asked uninterestedly. Mink looked very worried.
“Why did you just leave like that? Don’t you want to ask Daerin for the information you wanted? I wish I knew more to tell you, but Daerin is a much higher rank than any of us so he knows more about the prophecies.”
“It doesn’t matter, Mink,” I sighed, “Whatever it is can wait because I am not in the mood right now. Oh, and I have someone coming by tonight so be sure to make yourselves scarce. Tell the others if you see them.”
“Who is coming by?” A deep frown marred Mink’s adorable face.
I shrugged, “Just a friend. Don’t worry about it.”
“Sebastian, you must be careful who you spend your time with,” he said as he flew over to hover directly in front of my face, “Any one you talk to may have been corrupted by Mo’Kurei and you would not know it. You would put yourself in great danger.”
“Mink,” I said sternly, “Back. Off.”
He looked so very sad as he turned and flew away while I went to go up to my room, but the doorbell rang. I grinned and went to answer it. There was Liam, standing and looking positively delicious.
“Hey,” he said with a cute boy-next-door smile, “I got off early at work so I came by.”
“Oh, you got off early?” I said coyly, “How sad. I was hoping that would be my job.”
With that I grabbed him by the front of his shirt and dragged him into the house. I slammed the front door shut as our lips crushed together. Oh, he was enough to make me melt. He lifted me up and I wrapped my thighs around his waist while my scrawny arms twined around his neck. I dropped the unopened soda to the floor and groaned, “Upstairs,” against his mouth.
I’ll never figure out how he got up those stairs with me attacking his ear and neck with my mouth while molesting his chest with my hands. He was built perfectly.
“Which room?” He gasped as I twisted a nipple.
“Second on the right,” I mumbled and suckled his earlobe. He shoved into my room and we collapsed. His body pressing down on me and caused a delectable pressure to which I moaned like a five-dollar whore. Mother would be so proud.
He pulled my shirt over my head and I did the same to him while he pulled a line of condoms out of his pocket. I threw his shirt across the room and kissed a path down the center of his amazing chest and his too-perfect-to-be-real stomach before I opened the fly of his jeans. Oh, happy birthday to me.
So I’m not sharing the rest of that. While I love all of you dearly, some details of my life are just a little too intimate to share with anybody out there who has a mouse. I can tell you that he was amazing, but not the best I’ve ever had. That means good, but not good enough for a second rendezvous. After several rounds of totally amazing sex, both anal and oral, I watched him sleep for a while before I picked my boxers up off of the floor and shucked them on as I made my way down stairs. I picked my soda off of the floor and went to the kitchen to get a glass of ice.
Daerin sat at the kitchen table eating a box of Cheez-Its. He looked at me curiously, “One would think you would be sleeping,” he said airily.
I shrugged, “Couldn’t sleep.”
“Yet your mate sleeps on without you there?”
I glared at him, “What are you talking about?”
“The person you were mating with,” he said, “I went looking for you and saw you fornicating with another. I thought it was your mate.”
Snorting, I replied, “My mate, he is not. Just a guy.”
Daerin frowned deeply. Apparently this guy has never heard of a one-night-stand before, “You have mated with someone who is not your mate?”
“Yeah.”
“Why?”
I glared at him, more angrily and annoyed than before, “Because I felt like it, alright? Don’t ask questions. You are here for one purpose so don’t try getting involved with anything else.”
He looked very confused, “Will all humans fornicate with whomever they please or is it just you?”
“It’s not just me!” I exclaimed, thoroughly insulted, “And I told you to shut up about it.”
He was silent as I got out a glass and got some ice out of the freezer. The fridge was so old; it didn’t have an ice maker.
“Every species I have ever interacted with, they mate with one other for life.”
“This is earth, buddy boy. The animals have sex whenever they want with whoever is around and people are the same way.”
Daerin frowned again, “Animals mate to produce offspring. It is a survival instinct.”
“Not dolphins,” I grinned, “Dolphins are the only other species on the planet that has sex for pleasure you know.”
“This mating… it is very pleasurable?”
Wait, what? “You’re a virgin?”
“A what?”
I gaped at him, “You’ve never had sex with anyone?”
He shook his head, “I have yet to find my mate.”
I snickered and muttered, “Loser,” under my breath as I poured my soda into the glass. Sex was never a great emotional thing with me, just a momentary physical gratification. I never had some deep, romantic connection with anyone. No one had ever even attempted to woo me or romance me or have an actual relationship with me. It’s just always been sex and I’ve always just let it stay that way.
“Why do you-“
I interrupted Daerin with a hand over his mouth when I heard the creaking of the stairs. I gave give a stern look and mouthed for him to go hide in the pantry. He nodded and quietly walked over to the closet near the back door that held everything that didn’t need to be refrigerated.
“Hey.”
I turned to see Liam moving into the kitchen. He was pretty; he probably thought there was something between us. The pretty ones were always so stupid.
“Enjoy your nap?” I asked, sipping my soda. He grinned at me.
“I did until you left the bed and it got cold.” He moved closer to me, “Come back to bed with me.”
I snorted, “I’ve got stuff to do. You can go home now.”
He frowned and looked visibly shaken. This must’ve been the first time he’s gotten kicked out. No doubt people see his pretty face and great body and cling to him. I’m not the clinging type.
“You want me to leave?”
“I thought that was clear,” I said, feigning innocence, “We had our fun, now you go and I find someone new to fuck. You can do the do the same if you want. I really don’t care what you do.”
“One night stand kind of guy, huh?” He was giving me a very mean, dirty look, “I get it.” He left the kitchen. I heard him leave the house, the door being slammed loudly behind. I waited until his car violently pulled away from the house and shot down the road till I took another swig of my beverage.
“He seemed hurt.”
I turned to Daerin and shrugged, “I don’t care.”
“It really is profound how your destiny affects your personality so strongly.” I didn’t like the look he was giving me, like I was a lab-rat that just written his dissertation. “It said you would not feel the positive emotions that a normal human feels, only negative emotions or sinful urges, things that displease Iehova.”
“Look, I just spent three hours getting my brain fucked out,” I growled, “I don’t need your psycho-analyzing and I don’t care about any freaking prophecy, ok? I’m going to bed.”
And I did.
